Four days after announcing his retirement from the stand-up world, Katt Williams is ready to make his comeback.

Williams -- who made his initial promise after a meltdown-filled week in which he slapped a Target employee, got in a bar fight and led cops on a chase while riding a motorized tricycle -- now says his shows will go on. His manager tells TMZ, "The reason why he made remarks was due to him feeling totally disrespected by all the things that happened to him in the city of Seattle. He now just wants to move forward from those unfortunate events and give his fans outstanding shows from this point forward."

Katt has one date lined up for sure -- a just-announced court appearance to answer charges of misdemeanor assault from that bar fight.
