Jay-Z's plan to become a sports agent may have hit a snag. NFL Players Association rules say that he can't recruit players to sign deals for contract representation unless he's a certified agent -- and he needs at least a college degree for that.
Jay can rep players for endorsements and off-field deals, and there's no such requirement to get certified as a baseball agent -- which Hova has already applied for. NFLPA rules say that a prospective agent actually needs a graduate degree, but that requirement can be waived if the candidate can demonstrate at least seven years' negotiating experience. However, there's actually nothing on the books for people without at least an undergraduate degree.
