The hologram trend predicted to take off following Tupac's virtual performance at Coachella in 2012 is happening now -- it just took a year.
The line-up for the 10th anniversary of the Rock The Bells festival was announced Tuesday night and it includes "virtual performances" by the late Ol' Dirty Bastard and Eazy-E.
The virtual O.D.B. will likely perform with his former crew-mates in the Wu-Tang Clan, while the virtual Eazy-E will join his reunited one-time protégés Bone Thugs N Harmony.
Others on the bill include Common, Currensy, Dilated Peoples, Too Short, Earl Sweatshirt, Jurassic 5, Kid Cudi, Rakim, Tyler The Creator and others.
The fest is set to hit the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California on September 7th and 8th; the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California on September 14th and 15th; the Festival Grounds @ RFK in Washington, D.C. on September 28th and 29th; and the Meadowlands Racetrack in Rutherford, New Jersey on October 4th and 5th.
