Jessica Simpson has a new worry in her parents' ongoing divorce drama -- her mom is said to be drowning her sorrows in rivers of booze.

According to Star magazine, Tina Simpson has been in a downward spiral since splitting with hubby Joe, who's allegedly moved on to start dating much younger men. Jess was already freaked out about her dad, and these new concerns are weighing heavily on her.

A source says, "Tina is hitting the bottle to ease her sorrows over her marital problems. She's built up quite a tolerance and has switched from wine to stuff like scotch and vodka. Jess is just a mess over this. She feels helpless and doesn't know what to do."
